Host Vlaanderen

Host Vlaanderen is exactly what it sounds like: our own hosting company. It gives businesses in Flanders fast, secure web hosting and managed WordPress, run by people who build web platforms for a living.

The challenge

Most developers hand their work to a hosting party and hope for the best. We kept running into the same problems: slow support, servers you cannot look into, WordPress installations nobody patches. In 2020 we decided to run hosting ourselves instead of complaining about it.

What we built

A hosting operation where the boring parts are automated and the human parts stay human. Provisioning, renewals and billing run through an automated flow, so a new hosting account works right away. Security is daily routine rather than a yearly project. Because customers kept asking, we added managed WordPress and design services on top, with support in plain Dutch from someone who actually looked at your server.

Deep dive: the stack

Linux servers managed as infrastructure, an nginx stack tuned for WordPress performance, and WHMCS driving provisioning and billing. The servers get the same DevOps habits we bring to client platforms, so they are monitored, patched and backed up as a matter of course.

How we work

Host Vlaanderen keeps us honest. Every promise we make to clients about speed, security or uptime is one we test on our own infrastructure first, with our own customers on the line.

Where it stands

Host Vlaanderen has been running since 2020, from simple shared hosting plans to fully managed WordPress. For Ekinsol clients it means one partner from the first line of code to the server it runs on.
